Jeremy Hasson is a Career Counselor at KIPP NYC College Prep in the Bronx. He arrived in New York in 2019 after serving as a College Counselor and teacher for high school juniors and seniors with KIPP Austin Public Schools.

Growing up, his mom was a teacher and while he admired her work, he never thought he would be one. However, his experience mentoring and welcoming college freshmen as an Orientation Advisor at UT Austin (hook ‘em!) inspired him to join the College Advising Corps, which started his journey at KIPP.

In Austin, Jeremy was also a member of the Q Austin, an MPowerment program through AIDS Services of Austin that creates spaces for sexual health education, testing and community building in the queer community. He’s very happy to have found a new niche in the queer educator community to serve and call home!
